Player of the Day/Week/Month/Year

For 2019 we have added a new tracking system that will allow us highlight players who achieve Poker feats. The server is now regularly highlighting "Player of the Day" (which will change throughout the course of the day as players continue to accumulate points) , Player of the Week and Month.

Certain Poker accomplishments will earn you points toward being highlighted, such as your performance at Sit & Go tables. Achieving certain hands (Straight and Royal Flushes) will also reward you points, as will winning a tournament. A majority of the formula is geared toward Sit & Go play. Both Holdem and Omaha count toward the new system.

We aren't releasing the exact numbers on what you can earn and how, as we may make adjustments and keep a little mystique in the system.

For 2019, we will be placing the winner of each month on our website's "Hall of Fame" section, and those players will receive automatic entries into the end-of-year Poker championship. The server is set to only start announcing the "Player of the Month" contenders during the final week of the month. So early month you will see mostly just the Player of the Day/Week announcements. However, on the rankings page, you can find a complete day-by-day breakdown and the monthly winners (including the leader of the current month) at http://www.mysticisland.net/ladders/Poker.html

Being Player of the Day/Week is a fun metric we wanted to offer the players, but comes with no real reward. Winning the entire month is the victory you want. On the first day of the month, we will post the previous month's top scorer to the Hall of Fame and I will add it to this post. (Even though the system was introduced in late December, the first official month to be won is January 2019).

Player of the day ends at 11:59pm Pacific Time, and the window for Player of the week counts points earned between Monday 12:01am through Sunday at 12:00am (Pacific Time).
